4 Core Values: superior product, employee engagement, long-term financial stability and 'blowing away' the customer.
In 2001, MTGA transformed the original Mohegan Sun casino into a fully-integrated destination resort via a $1.1 billion expansion that added 220,000 square feet of retail and food and beverage options, a 10,000 seat-arena, a 1,175 room luxury hotel tower, 100,000 sq. ft. of meeting, convention, and cabaret space, and a second casino with 2,500 slot machines and 100 tables.
In 2006 MTGA acquired the Pocono Downs Raceway in Wilkes Barre, PA and created one of the most successful casino destination resorts in Pennsylvania: Mohegan Sun Pocono.
In 2012 MTGA acquired an equity position and management rights to Resorts Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Despite the worst downturn in the history of New Jersey gaming due to competition resulting in multiple casinos closing their doors, profitability at Resorts was up by over 500% in 2014.
In 2015 Mohegan Sun in Connecticut has again broken ground on a new 400 room hotel tower and retail, entertainment, and meetings complex.
